iGrammar ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our AI-powered keyboard extension app.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Text Input
We process the text you select for transformation using AI. This may include:
- Text you type or paste into any app while using iGrammar keyboard
- Text you select for polishing, rewriting, generation, or translation
Important: Your text is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently on our servers. Text is transmitted only when you actively request a transformation.
2.2 Device Information
We collect limited device information for security purposes:
- Device attestation ID (via Apple App Attest) to prevent abuse and ensure fair usage
- Anonymous usage counts to track lifetime credits and daily/hourly limits
- Subscription tier status
- Push notification device token (if you opt in to notifications)
2.3 What We DO NOT Collect
iGrammar is designed with privacy-first principles. We never collect:
- Personal identifiers (name, email, phone number)
- Passwords (automatically blocked)
- Credit card numbers (automatically blocked)
- Security codes or OTP codes (automatically blocked)
- Input from Email and URL fields (automatically blocked)
- Microphone audio or voice recordings
- Location data
- Contacts
- Photos or files
- Browsing history
Note on Microphone Permission: iOS may show a microphone permission prompt because the keyboard framework includes dictation capabilities. iGrammar does not actively record or transmit audio. You can safely deny this permission.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:

4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Cloudflare Workers
Our API uses Cloudflare Workers as a secure proxy. Cloudflare may process:

5. Keyboard "Full Access" Disclosure
Why Full Access is Required
- The keyboard needs internet access to communicate with our AI backend
- Text transformations cannot be performed offline
What IS Transmitted
When Full Access is enabled:
- Only the text you explicitly select for transformation is sent
- Requests are encrypted via HTTPS
- No other keyboard input is transmitted
What is NOT Transmitted
We do NOT transmit:
- Keystrokes outside of active transformations
- Content from password fields (automatically excluded by iOS and our app)
- Content from secure text entry fields (automatically excluded)
- Content from Email and URL specific fields
Your Control
You can revoke Full Access at any time in:
Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > iGrammar
Note: Revoking Full Access will disable the AI transformation features.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- HTTPS Encryption: All data transmitted is encrypted using TLS
- App Attest: Device verification to prevent unauthorized access
- No Persistent Storage: Text content is not stored after transformation
- Secure Field Blocking: Automatic exclusion of sensitive input fields and specific keyboard types
- Rate Limiting: Abuse prevention through usage limits
7. Data Retention
- Text Content: Not retained after processing (real-time transformation only)
- Usage Data: Retained for limit enforcement purposes only
- Device Attestation Data: Retained for security verification

iGrammar is not intended for children under the age of 16. In jurisdictions where the minimum age of digital consent is lower (but not below 13 years), children between 13 and 15 may use iGrammar only with verifiable parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the applicable age of consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including Canada and the United States (via Cloudflare and OpenAI). We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:
- Encryption of all data in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- No permanent storage of text content
- Data processing limited to real-time transformation only
- Reliance on standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms where required by applicable law (including GDPR)
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:
- Posting the new policy in the app
- Updating the "Last Updated" date
Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
